Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 (SOX) company-wide compliance to include documentation of business processes and internal controls, creation and performance of tests of design and operational effectiveness, and assessment of test results; and complete special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of accounting procedures and solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience using Accounting software, in particular Oracle, preferred, and Excel skills in creating and manipulating spreadsheets.
' Demonstrated knowledge of compliant internal control structures.
' Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, related guidance, and general auditing standards.
' Strong understanding of internal controls, knowledge of COSO and COBIT preferred.
' Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
' Ability to keep confidential information secure, and to work with minimal supervision.
' Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects within deadlines.
' Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Years of Experience required to meet minimum qualifications: Five years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting, external audit and/or internal audit experience. Minimum of 1 year of external audit experience with ability to demonstrate understanding of internal control concepts preferred. Experience applicable to a CPA license may substitute.
