Hello artsy folk of anchorage. I have a rather obnoxious question for you, how were you able to get into the game? Meaning do you have any tips for someone just starting out (or should I say starting over)? I'm originally out of Maryland, and it was a bit easier to fine places to show (and occassionally sell) my work. There's quite a bit of good competition up here, but my genre is has been scarce. I do paintings, charcoal, and pastels, with a classic type base but with strong overtones of social commentary. I miss my little art world and would love some advice. If I'm not at least showing it I have very little excuse to give my husband as to why it takes up so much of my time (and money). I appreciate your help! Thank you! (by the way, below is an example of my type of style and work. It is entitled "Young Love" and is pretty self explanitory)
