This position will be instrumental in telling the story of homeless families, capturing success stories, as well as overall management and development of the Beyond Shelter Project. Examples of critical projects this position would be leading: Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) reporting, generating system reports for partners and the community, adding additional partners to the mobile case management pool, increasing the faith-based community connection and donations, researching best practices for further development, coordinating the efforts of existing agencies in housing families quickly, and strengthening the connection with AK 2-1-1.

QUALIFICATIONS:
<br>

<br>
Personal:  Demonstrated dependability, maturity, and initiative and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Must be able to maintain project/guest/agency confidentiality. Ability to accept supervision and work with community social service workers, partners and other agencies cooperatively.  Flexibility to deal effectively with a variety of people, situations, problems and challenges.  Ability to work alone and as part of a team. 
<br>

<br>
Experience/Education:  Minimum of two years experience with the homeless population as a social service provider and knowledge of Anchorage area social services agencies is helpful.  Must have the ability to be a leader in managing projects, have planning and process improvement experience, an understanding of the service provider's missions and organizational processes and have a high degree of creativity.  An Associates degree or Bachelors degree in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.  
<br>

<br>
Experience/Skills:  Must be computer literate in Word, Excel and have some IT knowledge.  Ability to gather information/data accurately and generate reports.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Public relations, marketing, research and business development skills necessary.  Having worked with the faith-based, housing and mental health communities a plus.
<br>

<br>
Other Requirements:  Must have valid AK driver's license. 
<br>

<br>
Physical Requirements:   Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
<br>

<br>
Training Requirements:  Agency and department orientations.  Additional training as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.                   Develop and maintain the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) reporting system as it pertains to the Beyond Shelter Project capturing accurate data of individuals placed in temporary to permanent housing. 3.	Assist in overall development of the emerging system. Working closely with the current case managers and other staff as well as conducting business development by adding more partners to the mobile case management pool.

4.	Research successful national homeless projects to determine best practices and develop innovative solutions to enhance the homeless system in the Anchorage community.

5.	Promote the project throughout the community through oral and written communications, marketing, education and awareness.

	This position typically works a day shift from 6:00AM to 6:30PM but, occasionally could be called upon to work duty before or after normal workshift on an as needed basis.<br>
										<br>
	SUMMARY:									<br>
	Under the direction of the North Slope Team Lead, the "SHE Manager" shall ensure that all work activities are executed in a safe and environmentally compliant manner, shall ensure that the workforce is adequately trained, shall perform routine SHE audits and evaluations, shall effectively communicate SHE expectations and guidelines, shall ensure corrective actions have been completely implemented to correct deficiencies and/or errors in the application of safety practices, and follow safety and security procedures.<br>
										<br>
	ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:							<br>
	The SHE Manager can be expected to: A) develop and maintain Site Specific SHE Plans, B) serve as the principle subject matter expert and the single point of contact with regards to SHE issues, C) work in a collaborative manner with various Team members to establish risk and hazard analysis processes - procedures - documents including Job Safety Analysis and Safety / Environmental Task Assessment pre-job planning processes, Execution Plans, Site Orientation and Training Matrix, D) develop and conduct training programs, maintain documentation for all SHE training for direct company and subcontractor workers, E) provide SHE oversight for all subcontractors, F) establish a SHE inspection and audit process for SHE Team and Supervisory personnel to perform and record, conduct regular and frequent site safety and environmental safety evaluations of company and subcontractor work, track all SHE evaluations inspections and/or audits for SHE performance trending, timely corrective action and lessons learned, and communicate findings to the Team, G) serve as the company site SHE custodian for the secure storage and maintenance of sensitive SHE information, including project medical and exposure records, exposure assessments and incident / accident investigation reports, H) communicate SHE initiatives, State of Alaska and Federal OSHA Regulations, and other helpful information, I) serve as the company site SHE liaison with the integrated project team client leads and any agency representatives performing compliance activities, J) as necessary and/or required, perform other duties so as to support the project team and project objectives.<br>
										<br>
	SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:								<br>
	Direct, manage,  and mentor departmental employees such as SHE Field Specialists, SHE Training Coordinators, and SHE Document Control – Administrative personnel in a professional manner so as to safely, accurately, effectively, and efficiently execute assigned duties with an unrelenting focus and determination to meet and/or exceed targets – goals – expectations – objectives.<br>
										<br>
	QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:							<br>
	10-years experience in a similar - like position on the North Slope (AK), Oil Field, and/or Heavy Construction arena. Certified Industrial Hygienists and/or Health and Safety Technician certification is desirable<br>

	EDUCATION:									<br>
	High School education or equivalent. Project Management Training desirable.<br>
										<br>
	LANGUAGE SKILLS									<br>
	At a minimum, it is expected that the SHE Manager will have an excellent command, use, and understanding of the English language, both written and oral. And, can communicate in an professional manner so as to communicate clearly - positively without ambiguity and/or confusion.<br>

	MATHEMATICAL SKILLS									<br>
	At a minimum, it is expected that the SHE Manager can perform and understand general mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplication and division without mistakes and/or errors.<br>

	ABILITIES									<br>

POSITION PURPOSE<br>
The Plant Operations Manager oversees all aspects of Plant Operations including building maintenance, safety, security, environmental health, biomedical, telecommunications, and information technology.  This individual plans, organizes, directs, and controls the hospital’s facilities management functions.  Interacts with state and local officials and JCAHO surveyors to facilitate site surveys and other related compliance matters.<br>

POSITION REQUIREMENTS<br>
Total Education, Vocational Training, and Experience:  Bachelors Degree in engineering or its equivalent in work experience required.  Must have a minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience in hospital facilities and plant operations/maintenance.  Minimum of 5 years management experience.  Knowledge of NFPA codes as related to Health Care facilities and knowledge of rules and regulations of Federal, State, Local and other appropriate agencies such as OSHA, and JCAHO also required.<br>

Job Requirements:  Minimum 10 years of experience overseeing civil infrastructure projects including subcontractor management.  Must have prior experience performing and/or managing the construction of runway paving and civil (drainage, grading, storm water) projects.  Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel to remote Alaskan sites. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing, interpersonal, and client relations skills, be a self-starter with a team-first attitude, and be able to work with minimal supervision.  Air Force and Army Corps of Engineers experienced preferred.  Environmental remediation experience and a college degree in a construction related field a plus.<br>
<br>
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. <p>Maintains and ensures compliancy with Occupational Safety and Healthcare Administration (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Joint Commission requirement as well as the national guidelines of APIC.</p>

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

<p>Knowledge of professional nursing principles, concepts and practices in infectious disease control.<br>Knowledge of modern nursing principles, techniques, and procedures for the care of patients.<br>Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and concepts of disease.<br>Knowledge of the hospital environment and how the services and functions interact.<br>Knowledge of federal and regional safety statutes, rules and regulations.<br>Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and standards.<br>Knowledge of Alaskan culture.<br>Skill in providing effective nursing services, assessing patient situations and taking effective courses of action.<br>Skill in recognizing adverse signs and symptoms of potential infections or epidemics.<br>Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.<br>Skill in evaluating health problems, and making recommendations based on observations.<br>Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications.</p>


<p>MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION<br>A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Nursing or related health field.&#160; Progressively responsible professional work-related experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.</p>
<p>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION<br>Non-supervisory - Five (5) years experience in Nursing field professional work experience in health education, health related research, and/or health related program development, implementation and evaluation.&#160; An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.</p>
<p>MINIMUM LICENSE QUALIFICATION<br>Must posses a state license as a Registered Nurse.&#160; Must be eligible to receive an Alaska RN license.&#160;</p>
<p>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION<br>Certification as an Infection control practitioner from APIC is preferred.</p>
<p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS<br>May occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions and infectious diseases. May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule. May be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations. Work is performed in a standard office environment and in a clinic and hospital setting.</p>
