If you've ever sat on a tropical beach watching sailboats go by and wished that you were on that boat, but have no prior sailing experience or not enough to charter a boat this class is for you. The Tahiti Basic to Bareboat ASA Class is a 7 day live aboard class, where you will learn the basics of sailing, building your skills and confidence enough that you will be certified to bareboat charter internationally. Beyond learning to sail there will be plenty of time to snorkel, swim, soak up the sun and enjoy the local culture and flair. Most meals will be provided for you, but we will want to stop at a few local restaurants where you will need to pay your own tab. This class was developed several years ago as the solution to Alaskans who wanted to take a sailing class, but did not having enough free time in the Summer to be able to do so. Since many Alaskans take a trip to the beach during the Winter months this class has proved to tie in nicely with a trip most are likely to already want to take, but the great part about it is that you get to do it on a sailboat while learning to sail. New skills and passions make for great souvenirs
Cost per person is $2,400.00 plus airfare (based on double occupancy). Cost includes a full week aboard a Beneteau 44 out of the Moorings in Raiatea, Tahiti, most meals and ASA instruction through Bareboat Chartering.
