SUMMARY OF POSITION: Works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards and policies of the department and within the parameters of his or her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staff and other center departments. Works as part of the Health Care for the Homeless Program team, incorporating knowledge that supports the special needs of this population.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program. Certification as a medical assistant. One years of nursing or clinical experience. Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance.
