We are currently searching for Pool Medical Records Tech to join our team. The Medical Records Tech will be responsible for coordinating maintenance of medical record files, providing telephone and reception for the Health Information Services Department, coordinating processing of discharged and active charts, maintain accurate computerized databases, medical transcription and decrypting, processing daily census reports, and other duties assigned to assist in the efficient functioning of the department.
This position requires a minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting. This person must have the ability to work in a confidential manner and observe all rules of confidentiality. The ability to communicate professionally both in person and on the telephone is essential. The ideal candidate must have experience with computers and be able to type 55 wpm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree in psychology, nursing, or clinical social work such as Masters in Social Work, LCSW, Masters in Family Therapy, Ph.D. in Psychology, Masters in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, or ANP. Current unrestricted Alaska licensure required. Three years clinical experience preferred, ideally with culturally and socio-economically diverse populations. Experience collaborating with medical providers. Bilingual preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or equivalent. One year related experience required. Must have an Alaska pharmacy technician license. Computer skills required. Knowledge of prescription drugs and medical terminology desirable. Must be accurate, versatile, dependable and a team player. Bilingual skills a plus.

For insurance reasons, all drivers must be at least 23 years-old with a minimum of 5 years driving experience. A clean driving record is important. CNA or PCA experience is a plus. No CDL is required.
