Well lets just set the record straight...I am married to a State Trooper, 15 years now and we are raising six beautiful children in a very nice house and both he and I are respected at our jobs.I would never dream of using my husbands job as a way to attract interest in my daycare. I am the daycare provider and I would assume that people would want to hear about me and what I have to offer their children not what my husband does while I work. I think you are under the impression that your husbands job makes up for what you are obviously lacking as far as personality. I do thank you for posting again as now it is very obvious that I was right about you and you think somehow that you are better in some ways than others...you sound like a real snoot(daycare version) and I am glad that you do not care for my children as I believe that everyone is worth knowing no matter what kind of background they come from. I have only posted one comment and I am not sure where all the rest of them came from but I am in no way angry!! After reading the ad and all the responses, I think the childcare provider sounds paranoid. I don't think anyone is jealous. I don't think the anyone is insecure. I think that some kids do bite and can be aggressive and it is up to the provider to help the child learn a new tactic. That's why home daycare is out there. With having a small group of children the person should be able to provide individual attention, activities, and be there to help direct the children. Yes, the pictures she has on are all very nice. The child's room is clean and orderly but certainly doesn't look like a place for small children to play and congregate. Her husband's job doesn't have anything to do with her profession and doesn't guarantee safety. While I agree with her that she can say whatever she wants in her ad, I more agree with what the other people were trying to say. But hey, live and let live, right!

I hope everyone likes my posting as much as I do...for the person who posted such an angry comment I feel sorry for you that I made you feel insecure.

Everyone who reads your posting can see you�re an angry and insecure individual.

The only reason I am responding is not to defend myself but to say I am proud of my home and what I offer in my childcare.

I am proud of being a serious screener of who I bring into my home because safety for my children comes first as well as those I provide care for just like every other provider.

Again, I have been interviewing and have not found the right fit and if it takes me a year so be it, I will not compromise.

I have two wonderful families here that I have had for a long time and our families are great working together. This is because I took my time in picking the families, as I am sure they did in picking their provider.

I can put as much or as little in my posting about my beautiful family as I like and if it makes you insecure I feel deeply sorry for you.

I, too, have not had any luck answering ads on craigslist. I answer the ad for childcare wanted and the people looking for care have flaked in one way or another three times - no phone call to cancel; just no show or no phone call. I mean, I don't mind if a person calls up to say they found another caregiver, but please atleast have the courtesy to call someone who is sitting at home expecting you to arrive. It is disheartening to be treated with such disrespect. YOU would not like to be treated this way; so please don't treat SAHM or any other person who chooses to make their living caring for your kids as if they don't matter. I am not angry and I will answer the next ad that might work for me and my family; so please, if you place an ad on CL, and someone calls you to speak with you about what your needs are, please give them the courtesy they extend to you and retrun their call or e-mail - don't just blow them off. We are all trying to make a living and do our best, let's be nice to one another. Thank you....

I am trying to figure something out here.

I have become a sahm and have decided to daycare. Anyways, I put up an ad on here for doing daycare, got some emails and calls and thought everything was all squared up to meet and discuss things. So, call the people either that day or the next to set up a time and no answer. I leave a message, no call back. I email just to say " hey , let me know if you do or dont want to meet up " still no call back or email or anything.

If you are looking for care and talk to someone about meeting up and finalizing everything and then decide not to ...... at least have the decency to email or call and tell them you dont need their services. I think it is very rude and disrepectful to just blow someone off like that.

Everytime I have needed care for my son, I always call or email the people that I have decided not to go with , just to let them know. But i guess im just one of those people that doesn't like to leave people hanging and not know what is going on.

Ok, that's all I needed to say. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

I will never be taking care of more than 3 children at a time to ensure each child gets the one on one attention & care they need and deserve.I offer a warm, safe and positive experience for children while they are away from home.

�� My activities and guidance are provided to assist the children to develop a strong self-image, verbalization of feelings, co-operative interaction and acceptance of others.

�� Hands on experience, play - structured and unstructured, co-operative group activities and individual expression are all an integral part of learning while being a catalyst to the development of a confident and well-rounded child

�� My daily activites will include:

-Reading
-Singing & dancing
-Arts & Crafts
-Activites that teach shape,color,size,abc's & 123's
- trips to the park and much much more.

�� I will provide 3 healthy meals and 3 snacks depending upon length of stay. However I ask that each infant child be provided with everything that he/she needs for the day. For example: Change of clothes,diapers, desitin, wipes, bottles, juice cups, and formula.

�� As far as rates go I can work with parents budgets. I know the economy is rough right now so just e-mail me with days and time of care that you are needing and price you can pay and maybe we can arrange something. I also do overnights upon request. Have openings in my home for full time child care. I live in a very safe and quiet neighborhood between dowling and tudor right off of lake otis. Very clean, loving environment for children, I have a separate playroom with lots of toys, workbooks, and puzzles. I do many educational/preschool activities such as flash cards, identification, colors and think it is very important. I have two adorable boys of my own one is school age other is 3. I really enjoy spending time with kids. I know how hard and stressful finding good child care can be and have went through it and I am very thankful that I can provide great child care for my own and yours as well. I Have a group of very good kids here. Nutritious meals and snacks are included. I have many great references and many years of experience with child care. I am looking for a family that is seeking LONG TERM care as I said we have a group of very good kids here we are looking to find a good match. I just love the familys that I provide care for.
