You want to get a companion rabbit for your current bunny. How do you introduce them? Rabbits are social animals, unlike hamsters, but they are also territorial and usually must be introduced slowly.

Have your ever wondered why your rabbit lunges at you when you put your hand in the cage? Why does your rabbit run circles around your feet? Why does my rabbit make that buzzing sound? To spay/neuter or not to spay/neuter. It's good for the rabbit and better for you to have them altered. Altering a rabbit can correct some of the less desirable behaviors.

Do you know what kind of toys are good for rabbits?

One reason I offer my time to answer people's questions is to help them keep their rabbit rather than having to rehome it. Many rabbits end up at animal control or tossed out into the woods or a park only because the owner's aren't educated about rabbit care and their behavior. There can be better alternatives to ditching your bunny so you can still enjoy them.

Some of our other critters have already had to go to the pound (one found a home already and one was put down there(because she got sick), but there are still a couple left)( no one had to die to bring them in that night I was told). Apparently there is a legal limit that I was not aware of until recently and I do not qualify for a kennel license due to the size of my residence. I was also told by my lawyer that this would be used against me and that my ex would try to take our children before the final court dates by using the pets as an excuse.

1 -male -Orange tabby short hair. Nuetered. Born July 1996- Current on all shots. Loving and affectionate. Good with kids and other pets.

1 -girl -spotted short hair (was born white). Front Declawed. Not spayed. Born January 2007. Cuurent on all shots. Loving and affectionate. Good with kids and other pets.

Both are good gaurd kitties and good mousers. They are not purebred but I have some family records for them. They get along well together but can go seperately. If they do not work out with you let me know and I can help you find them a new home. I have the name and number of their vet for any information needed later on.

Please reply through the craiglist email as I don't want my ex to find them and torture them as he has some of my pets in the past.

She's petite (about 6 pounds) and has adapted beautifully to living in our home with our other two cats and three dogs. She loves to cuddle and is not your typical mouthy siamese. She talks, but rarely and politely. If she could spend her whole life in someone's lap I think she'd be a happy girl!! She plays with our 19 pound Maine Coon cat and walks right underneath the dogs if they are in her way. She likes to sleep in the bed with us at night, but isn't pushy about it. She loves dangling toys and catnip, and I saw her using the litterbox, so no problems there. When she plays she's very good about keeping her claws retracted.

As you can tell, we've become quite attached to her, but 3 cats and 3 dogs is just too much. We need to find a loving forever home for her (and we mean forever -- not until you move to an apartment that doesn't allow pets!). She's free, but we won't give her to just anyone -- she's much too special and we want to be sure she will be cherised for the wonderful companion that she is. This winter, all you folks with the little dogs and inside/outside cats: KEEP THAT IN MIND.

Just because fluffy didn't come home doesn't mean some person snatched them. It doesn't mean some nice person gave them a warm, loving home filled with treats and belly rubs.
It is absolutely YOUR responsibility to keep an eye on your "beloved" pets.

I hate how people actually convince themselves its ok to leave their pets outside all the time, or left unattended while they potty.
Youre animals are being hit by cars, tortured by bad people, freezing to death, being eaten alive by bears, and stomped to death by moose.

Get a freakin clue already.

There is a dead and badly decomposed tabby cat in the woods behind Southwood Manor.
It could still be rolling in cat nip, purring at your feet. I hope before it died it knew warmth and kindness from somebody OTHER than its vacant owner.

If you can't handle going through C/L pets without having a coronary, then don't! It's a simple concept. If all you few folks can do is complain daily about folks selling some mix-breed dog for $1,250 bucks or whatever, just stop looking. They aren't MAKING you buy the pet! I mean, come on, it's a free country. If folks think they can get $1,000 from a Miniature Poodle/Shih-Tzu cross, let them try. How is it hurting you? Would I buy one? NO. It's a mutt. Never-the-less, it is an animal with feelings, and if people decide to spend that amount of money, so be it. It's their money.

And as for the "lifetime warrenty", you MUST be kidding. What breeder would provide THAT? It is a soul, not a car. No one, not even a veterinarian, can say your dog will be in perfect health it's whole life. If that was the case, when the dog dies of natural causes 15 years after I bought him/her, I'd bring them back to the breeder to get my money back. That is beyond dumb; insane comes to mind.

A few of you out there need to really THINK about what you type. Stop being the C/L police. If you don't want to pay the amount asked, don't get the animal; if you want to sponsor/adopt, go for it. Again, it's a free country.

They come with the HUGE 50 inch tall(48 inches inside) thick bar parrot cage and all their accessories you see in the pictures. If you need the table you can have that too. They're sweet, quiet(yes these are quiet!), lovely birds. Short version, cost is $250 firm, cash only. Long version, this is a GREAT DEAL, read on you will see why. THEY DO NOT BITE, THEY DO NOT SCREAM !! The cage would cost you $400 new, the bars are thick. The birds would cost you roughly $300 if you bought them from someone, depending on where you go(pet store vs. private). The accessories would cost you roughly $100. Basically I'm charging for the cage and stuff. The birds come with it. The birds MUST stay in a huge cage, it would be cruel to put them in something smaller when this is what they are used to. I do not want them to go without it only to get crammed in with 10 other birds someplace. These are good house birds. If you can prove to me they will go in their own huge cage with plenty of toys and pirches in and out, and by showing me the setup, then I will give these birds to you. I have to SEE it though. I'm in no rush to let these birds go just anywhere, they must have freedom and quality space to live in and on. I believe all birds should have that.

These birds have the run of the house, they prefer to walk around on the top of their cage when their door is left open. They sleep in the cage and the door is left open all day for them to have freedom to roam. They will stay 99% of the time on top of the cage when let out.

The Lutino(4 years old white) one is the mother, the Pied(6 years old grey and white) one is the father and the Pearled(1 year old spottted/striped) one is their baby. They are very healthy, happy and well adjusted. These birds only eat Harrisons Organic Bird Pellets and have seeds as a treat. They eat all kinds of veggies and fruit. They ignore our dogs, they are calm with the vacuum cleaner.

Their cage is huge and heavy, you can see from the picture how it sits tall on the folding card table. All of the toys, food bowls, pirches, nest box, and branches will stay with the cage and birds. The cage comes apart so the birds must be in a small transport cage(NO BOXES!) when moving them.

Serious inquiries only please, if you have never had birds before call me and we can talk a while and see what happens. If you think you can remove them from their pelleted diet you will find their health decline, so please do not try. This is the best bird food available. It works out to about $10 a month to feed them the pellets. They are happy with the freedom they have to roam during the day and do not abuse it. They do NOT scream or screech, they only make their quiet pleasing happy sounds.
