Job Description: POSITION TITLE: Sales Associate
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
PURPOSE:
Responsible for positively contributing to a customers shopping experience through knowledgeable, friendly and efficient service and maintaining store and personal appearance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Greet and acknowledge all customers on the sales floor
-Provide assistance to customers by answering merchandise-related questions
-Promote AE Credit Card to all customers
-Meet individual sales goals established by store management every day
-Replenish, size and fold merchandise throughout shift
-Assist in cleaning and maintenance of store as directed by store management
-Initiate self-training using materials provided by AE
-Communicate to store management any customer needs or concerns
-Assist in processing merchandise as directed by store management
-Assist in merchandise and display changes as directed by store management
-Follow all established safety procedures
-Observe and monitor for loss prevention and advise management of any unusual internal or external activity
-Ring up sales transactions as directed by store management
-Operate cash register as directed by store management
-Perform other duties as assigned
AUTHORITY:
-Provide a positive shopping experience to every customer
QUALIFICATIONS:
-18 years old or over desired, but not required
-Minimum high school education or equivalent is desired, but not required
-Minimum experience of six (6) months previous is desired, but not required
