I am driving a 4 door sedan, EXCELLENT on Gas, have insurance the whole 9 yards.

You will need to have a passport to get into Canada, and hopefully a driver's license, don't matter what state it is issed from just so you have it to drive my car. I think we will have enough room for a couple of bags, my car is going to loaded, better traction through snow and ice going down.

I will be driving from Anchorage to Illinois (Decatur) departing sometime in the first week of December. The route will be Tok, Whitehorse, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Minneapolis, Etc. Planning on taking about 8 - 9 days, with daylight hours and road conditions I plan on driving only 400 or so miles a day. No room for cargo but can make room for a couple of suitcases.

I smoke cigarettes and enjoy doing so while driving. I am NOT 420 friendly. I drive a 2004 GMC Envoy which is very comfortable and not bad on gas.

You must pre-pay before we leave Anchorage. I am not a scam artist so dont try to be one either, the reason I ask for prepay is that last time I made a trip like this I wound up financing two riders who never paid me back so this time, MONEY IN ADVANCE. Please be solid on this ride. I really can't afford to make plans and have someone cancel in the last minute leaving me stranded. If you are just considering the trip or don't really have solid plans for being in Washington that week, please do me the favor of contacting someone who might have more fluid plans. I have a non-refundable ticket flying out of Seattle to Asia on December 7th. So there is no doubt as to whether I will back out on this.

As for how much money I am willing to share, I would really like to keep it under $200. Tickets flying out of Anchorage to Seattle that day are about $300, so I am really just doing this to have some good company and a comfortable, relaxed trip rather than save a bunch of money. But, if it happens that I can't find anyone who fits this plan, I will just buy the plane ticket and go from there.

Well, I hope this works out. I would really like to take a trip through Canada. I have only done the trip from Haines to Tok -- never the full AK Highway!
