“Against All Odds" Bruce Shingledecker Very Rare Ltd Edition Framed Print
Bruce Shingledecker was a Southeast Alaskan artist who lived in Gustavus, Alaska and was well known throughout the state for his acrylic paintings of Alaskan wildlife, some of which included glacial silt in the paint for texture.
The artist sadly passed away in 2007 and the gallery that exclusively sold his work in Juneau AK for many years is no longer in business so prints of his artwork do not show up available for sale very often.
According to the artist’s website, he hand signed all copies of Against All Odds in the margin below the picture, but the signature and edition # were covered up by the matting to make the prints appear more like the original paintings. This is edition #790/5000
Beautifully framed in a sturdy distressed wood frame with UV, non-glare glass, it is still in excellent, practically new looking condition. It’s a very large and heavy piece so p/u or delivery within about 60 miles of Salem OR is the only option available to obtain this gorgeous piece, though I am willing to work with the right person to get this in the hands of someone who is seriously interested in and appreciates the value of this artist’s work. If you are a collector in AK (or another location outside of this delivery radius), it would be well worth the effort to arrange for someone to pick this stunning piece up for you and arrange transport through a 3rd party. If you or someone you know is purchasing a vehicle, boat or other large item and sending it up on the ferry or barge that would be the perfect opportunity to transport this very large and heavy item up to AK.
Frame measures 42”x33”x2”
Weighs approximately 18 lbs
