McDaniel is a widely collected painter celebrated for his beautiful depictions of the Old Alaska Wilderness. Signed lower right by the artist.

“Scott McDaniel, moved to Alaska in 1948. He and his wife, Maxine, planned to spend a year before going on to college. Both fell in love with Alaska and have been here ever since. In 1949 they homesteaded at Kenny Lake. He has exhibited in Hawaii, California, and Washington as well as throughout the State of Alaska. Scott studied at Vallejo Jr. College and with private teachers. He has taught Art in California, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska.”
