condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Ford
model name / number: 1916 Model T, Touring
Selling my authentic, Classic, Antique 1916 Model T Ford Touring Car. Inquire if interested by phone or e-mail through Craig's List. In and out, so leave message on machine if you call and are serious. The car is very nice and has a fresh engine, I doubt I have put 100 miles on it. Clear Coat high gloss paint may not be what Ford used, but it sure shines. It has been garage kept since 2000, and it is here in Alaska. Extra wheels and tires as well as miscellaneous other parts.

This car is not a kit, it is a genuine 100+ year old restored Model T and for a Model T it runs great, engine not even broken in yet. In ways, I hate to get rid of it, but I hate to see it just sit. I used to take it into the schools for Show and Tell about the role of the Model T in world history as well as how mechanics have evolved since the early days and the kids loved it. Most people have no idea what Henry Ford and the Model T did impact-wise to both our, as well as world history back then. 1916 was the transition year for Ford automobiles between the old exposed brass radiators and the black sheet metal covered radiators used after that and this year was the last of what were called the Brass Model T Fords. As close as I can tell, the car was built in late April or May of 1916. It may not be a Concourse, top of the game show car as I am sure every nut and bolt is not original Ford, etc., but it is definitely a head turner and attention getter.

I arrived at the current value through comparisons of Hemming's Motor News with other similar Model T touring cars listed there, and they were all in the Lower 48, this one is here and I only know of two other 1916 Ford Touring Car in Alaska, though there could be others. Asking price is $ 16,000.00. Reasonable offers may be considered

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, there is one of these in Fairbanks, one in Wasilla, and this one in Knik.
