Apollo 16 Mission 1972. I pulled together the patch button and decal. along with the commemorative envelope and stamps with their postal dates. The 3 x 4 photograph, which is obviously been taken from inside the capsule looking out upon the moon surface. This would be something that my father acquired in house amongst coworkers. Definitely a unique item to add to the group . I also include a couple of space oriented Florian publications that talk about what was happening at that time .
My father was recruited with a small group of people when the NASA program was orchestrated and worked on coding and the ability for spacecraft to have a brain to communicate into physical action. Nixon awarded my fathers the medal of freedom.l
