2008 Subaru Outback with 155k miles (from old engine and NO IDEA HOW MANY MILES ON REBUILT) No matter how many times you ask or how many different ways I will still have no idea about how many miles are on this engine.
Notes from previous seller/friend who installed the engine for my daughter:
new crankshaft, main and rod bearings, new piston rings, new head gaskets, new timing belt and timing belt tensioner and a new o-ring that’s called the piston pin cover o-ring. I can’t remember if I put a new rear main seal in that motor, which I do about half the time.
Updates: decided to keep it and took to mechanic. They check it over and installed and new water pump with timing belt (or chain) and a new CV joint, some sensor and did an oil change. Drove it for 1 day and has loud knocking in engine. Mechanic said it seems engine has major problem. Now I just want tit gone!
Starting at $1000 and will go down $100 every few days till it sells so don’t call and ask if I will take $500 yet please.
