Buick LeSabre 1960 red convertible, white top, interior red with white. Very Good Condition as restored from a clean rust free original in 1998. Front seats have been re upholstered, back seats and top are in great condition. Lower parts of the rear bumper were just re-chromed so all chrome and all of the stainless is in excellent condition. Interior parts were just re colored in the few spots as needed, so it presents very well, The top opens and closes reliably, There appears to be no body rust anywhere. One small rust spot was repaired in the restoration. Since purchased it has always been garaged and only driven on sunny summer days'
It was repainted in the original red lacquer in 1998, but time has caused some checking visible close up.
The engine was rebuilt in the restoration and starts and drives well.
I bought the car from Illinois in 2021, and have had my fun working on and driving it, but it is time to get working on my 1965 Olds 98 Convertible and my 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Coupe.
This car has the potential to be a $40-50,000 car after a repaint.
Bought because I loved the look of these 1959-1960 Buicks, and other cars of this era are really rolling art pieces.
So sad that automotive design has gone so far downhill since the 1960's.
