First Presbyterian Church is looking for a teacher to join our J.O.Y. Camp staff for our June 1-4 afternoon camp which meeets from 12 noon - 4 pm. The person is responsible for planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. A curriculum is provided and the role includes engaging children in biblical stories and prayer, guiding campers through hands-on art and science activities, and organizing games to support the camp's spiritual and educational goals. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, creative and able to work well with children of varying ages. Strong classroom leadership, organization and a heart for ministry are essential. The children will have participated in the church's Vacation Bible School in the morning; this camp provides an all day program for children of working parents.
