I will be up from the Peninsula the evening of 2/9, leaving the following day, mid-afternoon.
Overall exceptional condition & sounds great.
This was a bring back from Japan during the Vietnam war & at one point was serviced by Glen at Commtronics in the valley but has a few quirks which are that the high & low filter switches pop when manipulated. If you switch the speakers off beforehand, no issue. From what I’ve read, likely a faulty capacitor. Aside from that, the backlight bulb for Mono is out, all others work.
I recently cleaned the tube pins & sockets, all switches & potentiometers as well. Cleaned the faceplate, glass & all knobs.
Radio works great, as do both AUX inputs. Tape has distortion. Have not tested Phono inputs as my turntable is still out for repair.
Fully functional, these sell for $800-900+. Mine works but essentially offering it as “parts only”/for repair & price reflects imperfections.
I also have a large wood cabinet it came in with reel-to-reel & turntable that I’d make a package deal for. Check my other listings.
