This system is in good working condition and was powering my home and cabins perfectly when it was removed from service. It has been replaced by a new 48v lithium system.
COMPONENT LIST:
• Magnum Energy Inverter/charger model: MS4024
• Magnum Energy MMP Series Mini Magnum Panel Model: MMP250-60S
• Magnum Energy Remote Control Model: ME-RC
• Nearly new battery bank: 16 batteries, GC2 210Ah (@20 Hrs), 840Ah or 20.16KWh
• Schneider Electric Conext MPPT 60a 150v Charge Controller
• Array of solar panels: 6 Canadian Solar 270w panels total of 1620w.
INVERTER/CHARGER:
The heart of the system is the Magnum Energy Inverter and battery charger model # MS4024 which is a well-known work horse and has a reliable reputation. The inverter/charger is connected to a Magnum Energy breaker panel with a remote LCD screen display and an Inverter bypass switch.
BATTERY BANK:
Bank of 16, GC2 210Ah (@20 Hrs) @ 24v equal to 840AH or 20.16KWh in storage! Half of the batteries are new as of 2025, and the other half of the bank are relatively new, purchased 2022. I describe the battery bank as “Relatively New” because even though some are dated 2022, these batteries were a bank which was attached to my rental cabin battery bank. These batteries have had very few cycles, and they were only used for 2 seasons (6 months total). Each rental season is only 3 months of light usage. The batteries were used lightly, only to power LED lights inside of the cabins. The bank was stored through winter in the heated main house, with a battery maintainer/trickle charger keeping the bank topped up while in storage. On the 1st of each month, I religiously check and add distilled water to all of my batteries. These batteries have never been used with low water. In fact, they each have only taken a few oz of water because of the light usage, and low cycles. These batteries have never been drawn lower than 90% depth of charge and have never had a high amperage draw.
SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLER:
Schneider Electric Conext MPPT 60a 150v. This charge controller can support 12/24/36/48/60 V DC battery banks. If you ever plan to upgrade your system, you will not need to replace the solar charge controller. This is a bulletproof charge controller and has a reputation for being efficient and reliable.
SOLAR PANEL ARRAY:
6 Canadian Solar 270w panels, total of 1620w. These panels are made by a well-known and reliable company out of Canada. In winter and in full sun, where temps have dropped to -45F, I have personally seen this array produce 2025 watts!
All of these components were carefully chosen to work together as a complete system. It was originally professionally designed and built by Renewable systems of Alaska for my main house and originally cost over $25,000.
This complete solar power system is nearly everything you will need to set up your cabin with electricity. All you will need is some electrical wire/cable and some fuses/breakers and you are ready for 24/7 electricity in your off-grid cabin or home. Depending upon your loads, this system can give you 3 to 5 days of autonomy, even if there was no sun for a few days. The system can easily be upgraded by simply adding more GC2 batteries to the bank for more storage.
I am selling this system as a set. I will NOT sell individual components unless you are willing to pay the total price of the lot. I will not take trades. I will not finance. I will not take partial payments. The price is fairly firm but I am open to taking reasonable offers. Please don’t waste your time with absurd offers.
