•Lead weekly Chancel Choir rehearsal (2 hours, Wednesday evening)
•Prepare music (approximately 2 hours per week): selecting hymns and choral pieces in collaboration with the Senior Minister, ideally aligned with the Revised Common Lectionary.
•Oversee the music ministry of the church, working closely with the organist, pianist, Northern Lights Ringers (handbells) director, and other musicians.
•Plan and direct an Introit for each Sunday.
•Direct the Chancel Choir for special worship services, including Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, and others as scheduled.
•Attend monthly FCCAK staff meetings and Worship Ministry meetings. Attend FCCAK Church Council and Board of Trustees meetings, as needed. Throughout the summer, the Music Director will be responsible for organizing other musical experiences. This may be Musical Offerings for worship services, collaborations with other choirs, guest musicians, etc.
