Description: Chugach Chocolates is hiring a full time chocolatier and chocolate maker.

We also sell directly to consumers through our online website, and through our recently opened tasting room at our chocolate factory in mid-town Anchorage.
About the Job:
- We are seeking an chocolate maker to:
-- assist in the making and packaging our various types of chocolates,
-- perform various production support activities (eg, help to organize the warehouse that stores raw materials and finished goods, -- taking periodic inventory of raw materials and finished products, daily cleaning of facility),
-- periodically provide tasting notes and critical feedback on new chocolate product development (e.g., eating lots of chocolate),
- Full time role, starting pay depending on experience (minimum starting pay $18.50/hr).
- Full time employment benefits include tasting room gratuity sharing, 401k plan with 6% match (with 90 days successful employment), 6 paid holidays per year, 3 weeks paid vacation, bonus pay, educational/training reimbursement.

About You:
- Work commitment of 35-40 hours per week.
- Have some experience in a commercial kitchen - we have a 3 month chocolate making and chocolatiering training program (includes explaining the difference between chocolatiering and chocolate making).
- Reliable, hard working, good spirited, takes initiative, and works well in teams and small groups.
- Able to lift 50 pound boxes.
