My disabled family of 3 (2 disabled adults & a teenager) are in a rough spot right now so we are playing catch up on rent and bills. I work as much as I am able to, but my wife is a stay at home mom due to her disability. I work my butt off for my family and I make just too much for us to get help from DPA or assistance programs, but we are still struggling right now due to perpetually playing catch up since my medical issues. We are not looking for a hand out, we are looking for a hand up one time. I am hopeful that if we can just make it through Decembers rent and the holidays then in 2026 we will be able to get back on our feet. I have exhausted our resources and even pawned a few things to keep the lights on and food on our table. I have a few items I am willing to offer as collateral if anyone has the means and is willing to help my family out this one time. I have never had to do anything like this before, so please feel free to ask me any questions or give any suggestions of places to find help. We are looking for mostly rent help right now so we can keep a roof over our heads, but we would also accept any Christmas gifts or electric bill assistance if offered.
