In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:25-34), Jesus uses birds as an example of God’s daily provision to teach against worry. He points out that birds do not sow, reap, or store food in barns, yet God feeds them. Jesus argues that because humans are more valuable than birds, God will surely provide for their needs.
