two claims on the Solomon river just above where Coal creek enters. There is a cabin near these claims that needs fixing up but was a good place to stay in the past. Fairly shallow bedrock and has a history of up to 2 oz nuggets. We haven’t dredged on these claims but when I originally went in there there was evidence of some one dredging via ‘long arm’ method...meaning they just dredged blind. There is patented ground upstream from these claims which means to me that there is good enough gold to make it interesting. I’m selling these for a friend. he's asking $4000 each or $7000 for the two of them. He owns the next two claims up stream as well but is trying to raise some funds for a trip up next season. These are 40 acre AK State claims with all paperwork in order. Will be sold with a AK DNR quit claim deed , a map of claims & all current paperwork. Just for your information, the Solomon river was extremely rich . It was bucket lined extensively but the bucket line dredge never reached these claims. Easy access; about 4 miles up the solomon river from the Nome Council Road. Good ATV trail or could drive in w/ 4x4 to bottom of claims. About 40 miles east of Nome.
