Mechanic needed to work on semi hermetic compressor for HVAC (DOWNTOWN ANCHORAGE,)

compensation: Bid or by the hour
Mechanic needed to work on semi hermetic Compressor (Copeland Copelametic). HVAC people don't know if it's repairable or not. Would like a mechanic who works on compressors to give a 2nd opinion and fix it if possible.

How to fix from a mechanic:

All of these Copelands can be rebuilt as long as the block is not ruptured from say a thrown rod. Usually the disc valves on top of the compressor piston wear out and burn up. All it takes is a good pump down valve off the compressor then remove the heads keep each cylinder parts separated from the others. Remove the bad valves and replace. If there is wear in the cylinder or piston then plastigauge the rod bearings. If not worn then rebuild in reverse order change the filter dryer add freon and oil. Set superheat and rock on cool breeze! Get reputable parts not some Chinese knock off. Keep an eye on the fans for cycling correctly or if chiller make sure the add heat or defrost is working throughout the cycle the freon entering the compressor is a sure way to make money burn. Is this a Carrier unit? A serial and model number of the unit and compressor goes a long way. Any reputable freon tech with commercial or industrial experience who say is 50 years old can do this repair. You did check the windings if it has an internal motor? if external driven all above should be simple procedures. Too easy.
