1969 Fender Super Reverb – 1×15 JBL D130F – Harp Mod – Project – $900 OBO (Anchorage)
Vintage 1969 Fender Super Reverb tube amp (drip-edge silverface) that was modified for harmonica back in the day. I bought it around 1980 from the previous owner, who had it set up for harp. I used it for harmonica only, and it has been sitting unused for over 20 years.
Details:
• Drip-edge silverface Super Reverb chassis – serial A42546
• Custom 1×15” baffle
• Vintage JBL D130F 15” 8Ω speaker
• Extra insulation inside the cabinet from the harp mod
I have NOT powered it on. Because it hasn’t been used in decades, I did not want to risk damaging the original transformers or the JBL by just flipping the switch. Assume it will need a full service by a tech (filter caps, tubes checked, bias set, safety check, etc.).
Sold AS-IS, untested as a project amp for someone who knows vintage Fenders or has a good amp tech.
Cosmetically it shows normal wear for its age (scuffs, small dings, etc.) from being a 1960s amp, plus the non-original 1×15 baffle and insulation from the harp mod.
Price: $900 or best reasonable offer
Location: Anchorage, AK
Cash only, local pickup. This amp is heavy, but I can help you load it.
