Cook (Agency Support) – To provide nutrition services including; meal prep, food service, information,
& education to all children and families enrolled in each of our programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong knowledge of large-scale food production, typically from experience or education obtained through at least one year experience in a similar position as a commercial cook preferred.
• Experience planning menus and complying with USDA nutrition guidelines.
• Knowledge about developing and maintaining good food service and proper food handling techniques to meet all licensing and food service permit requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of and experience with food purchasing, quantity food preparation, operation of food service equipment.
• Ability to do careful menu planning and food purchasing.
• Must have current Alaska Drivers License, personal vehicle insurance and a good driving record.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques, application of proper cleansers, characteristics of surfaces to be cleaned and equipment required to perform tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Balancing the unexpected (staff shortages, equipment malfunctions etc.) with strict meal schedules.

Location: All CCS Early Learning Center Locations
Supervisor: Human Resources Director
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk for 45 weeks)
Salary: $22.55 – $27.78 per hour DOE/E.
