Office Administration & Operations
· Oversees general office projects and daily operations.
· Oversees all payroll, benefits, and employee related operations.
· Creates necessary data in the form of letters, memorandums, proposals, or reports, and composes correspondence for the owner's or manager’s signature.
· Maintains monthly insurance reports, and tracks and assists with insurance claims and paperwork.
· Maintains the company’s health and safety programs and assists with updating MSDS sheets and other documents as required.
· Provides support for the General Manager and other Executives as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Human Resources & Recruitment
· Coordinates the employment, application, interviewing, and orientations for all full-time positions and seasonal employees.
· Receives approved recruitment requests and processes them promptly.
· Coordinates with the Marketing Director for employment advertising (including web and other media).
· Screens applications for minimum qualifications and forwards eligible candidates to the appropriate interviewing supervisor.
· Coordinates the employment offer process and documents offer agreements.
· Verifies employment history and other screening requirements.
· Coordinates applicant appointments for new hires and processes hiring packets using established guidelines.
· Reviews applicant selection data for compliance with selection criteria and EEOC regulations; maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation.
· Reviews, processes, and accurately codes personnel/position transactions, ensuring conformity with regulations.
· Maintains recruitment and personnel files, closes files for assigned employees, enters resignation/termination data, and disposes of records using established guidelines.
· Communicates transaction problems to senior management and informs the supervisor of unresolved difficulties.

Qualifications
· Education: College degree, equivalent work experience, or similar preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years or more of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to effectively manage multiple, ongoing activities, assignments, or projects.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in customer and employee correspondence.
· Self-starter with the ability to logically think through a project and follow through to completion.
· Ability to identify department goals and develop programs, policies, and procedures to reach those goals.
· Ability to pay consistent attention to detail.
· Capable of successfully accomplishing basic accounting and bookkeeping activities.
· Able to accurately type 40 words per minute.
· Proficiency with computers, preferred experience with Microsoft Office tools.
· Must be bondable, possess a valid Alaska driver’s license, and maintain a good driving record during employment.
· Must be able to lift approximately 25 pounds.
