Here is a rare barn-find opportunity! This assemblage of air-cooled VW race parts includes a broken but complete 1835cc race motor (with broken number 3 cylinder stud and burnt head) and the bits and pieces of a 2-liter race motor, two transmission cores (one complete close ratio, one partial wide ratio), clutches, flywheels, ported manifolds, fuel and oil pumps, miscellaneous NOS gaskets, bearings, plugs (dozens of ‘em), distributor, coil, cables, race headers, and on and on.

The 1835cc motor: As noted the number 3 cylinder stud broke and leaned out the head (as shown in picture), the cylinder and piston do not appear to be damaged. The set includes some NOS chrome moly head studs. Exact specifics of the internals are not known – but suspect the parts were then current (late 80’s) high-end.

The 2-liter motor: The motor is two plus liters (94mm bore by ? stroke) and is suspected to have (not confirmed) a Pauter crank, Carillo rods, Mahle pistons, etc. The original case broke and a NOS OEM case is included. The big valve heads have had extensive work over time – but can mostly likely be recondition and used and have matching ported manifolds.

The entire inventory is yours for $750 or reasonable offer. Not ready to piece out yet – entire stock must be taken. No trades please.
