7/1/25, started and I drove around the block, no problems, I put new lower bearings in the engine (very clean oil pan now!), unfortunately he damaged a crank journal B4 he shut it down. I used an undersized bearing on that bad journal, selling as is, running but needing some attention.
John in Eagle River by Fred Meyers 242-83two 4 Alaskan no.
Starts easy time every time, I installed a new key ignition and rebuilt the power steering pump.
It runs and drives but crankshaft is damaged on that one journal. (It may run as is for awhile but no guarantees , I can tell you more when you get here or send me a text.)
Selling as is.
2 other issues I am aware of are; 1 the back passenger side sway arm is bent, I straightened it but it needs to be replaced (or weld reinforced if your good at wire feed welding). Also there is a power steering leak at the the tie rod end, I think there is a bad rack and pinion seal, these 2 issues should be addressed B4 driving, I drove this car from Anchorage to Eagle River after fixing a tire and replacing the key ignition, it drove good, but has a rod knock as the kid hammered it. (The transmission seems excellent with very good engagement in both directions, (good transmission))
(I can advise you , I just don't want to work on this one any more, I have an F-150 to work on.) car is the 4 cylinder with good battery, deduct 70 bucks, I keep the battery. Clean title.
Has potential and I got it out of the disrepair hole, many repairs complete. (I got it going). It still needs work though.
O.b.o, motivated seller, I had it sold but did not think it was a good match for her as she
has no mechanic. I have nothing to hide and will tell you what I know. John. Phone listed above.
