My name is James and I am looking for a cabin that I can rent for two or three months this winter, starting in January. I want something that's maybe not too far out from a city, though I'm open to more options.
Really, I'm just looking for somewhere I can get away for a bit. I need to take a break from all the noise and busyness of life. I can pay up front for the duration of my stay.
I'm from California, so I'm not exactly used to the cold, but I do know how to survive and live with less. I don't need or want anything fancy. A dry cabin would be fine. No internet is fine too and in fact that would be preferred. If it's a bit more remote then I'll need a bit of advice or someone to show me the ropes. I can pay for this time as well.
I've heard there's some remote dry cabins for only a couple or few hundred a month, but I don't know what that entails or where to look for that. I think that's what I'm looking for, but I can't find a lot of info on this.
Apart from getting away for a few months, I am actually seriously considering moving to Alaska. I figured this would be a good introduction.
You can send me an email, a text, or a phone call. I'm not glued to my phone so I probably won't answer right away but I will get back to you within a day or two. I don't use a smartphone, so I can only text a little bit. Phone call and emails are preferred.
