Do you have a spare room?

I am looking for a room to rent. Ideally, within a price range between $450-$550 (all utilities included/flat rate). If none can be found within this price range $600 is the most I can afford to pay (all utilities included/flat rate).

This is non-negotiable. My personal income is a monthly flat rate amount so when I list $550-$600 as my max I literally can't pay more than that. I am not lowballing anyone I just have financial limitations.

Hopefully, what I can afford is enough for someone. If not, it still won't change the amount I can afford.

Positives….

✓ I don't have pets

✓ I am moving in solo; no kids or partner

✓ I am not a hoarder. I don't have an excessive amount of belongings.

✓ I don't have a history of addiction/crime

✓ I pay my rent on time

Things you should know...

My income is through SSI. It is a stable source of income but it also implies I am not working; I am considered disabled right now. I will attend recovery treatment for my health. Eventually, enroll in (1-2) classes at the community college but I want to make sure I have a stable place to live first.

I will need a bed even if that means a blow up mattress. I don't own furniture and would prefer not to sleep on the floor. My rent requires me to pay the majority of my income. I won't be able to afford to buy one(a bed) after I move in.

Limitations…..
I don't have a driver's license/car so I need to live within close walking distance to public transportation. No exceptions! A 20-30 minute walk to/from a bus stop isn't practical during dark Winter nights and when doing things like carrying groceries.
