Wilson Albers & Company is seeking a competitive and driven sales professional to engage sales and marketing strategies (and administration) over our multiple business lines. With over 80 years' combined experience providing professional employer services (Strategic and comprehensive employee benefits, human resources, and financial services) to businesses both in Anchorage, AK and Tacoma, WA, Wilson Albers & Company continues to impact business in the local community by helping them become an employer of choice for top talent.
This role on the business development team is responsible for prospecting and outbound lead generation activities such as list building, industry research, email campaigns, cold calling and networking. You will also interact frequently with the BD Executives and Service Line Operations staff to discuss leads, seek guidance, coordinate meetings, and prep for Discovery and Proposal meetings, as well as communicating regularly with the VP Sales on sales activities and to seek guidance and support.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Generate leads through personal and business contacts, referral partners, networking groups, client referrals, industry research, email campaigns, cold calling, and other channels.
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Set Initial contact and qualification meetings and coordinate strategy for those meetings with the BD Executive
Take a consultative approach to develop an understanding of prospective clients' businesses and their employer-related needs, challenges, and pain points
Present our company, capabilities, and approach to potential clients
Show prospective clients how we can help them accomplish their workforce goals through our programs and services
Build long-term trusting relationships with potential clients, and maintain those relationships post-sale
Set up Discovery Meetings between prospective clients and Business Development Team members
Help prepare for Discovery meetings, and participate in a transitional and support role
Support proposal development and presentation
Report sales activity results to the Vice President of Sales on the prescribed schedule. Analyze result, make recommendations, and take corrective actions as the data suggests.
Align the overall corporate solution to the customer's business needs, challenges, and requirements
Build and maintain the front-end of our business development pipeline, and support development of prospective clients throughout the pipeline
Keep an eye out for new and emerging markets while prospecting, and convey to the Sales VP
Conduct market research as requested
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
One (1) year of relevant experience
Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) preferred
Ability to deliver engaging presentations
Experience in employer services business models is preferred but not required, proficient in concepts around employee benefits, human resources, and financial services
Ability and experience selling to Executive and Director levels within the organization
Candidate will be strategic in finding new business using technical knowledge and skill set
Creation and execution of quarterly and annual business plans
Good management presence, business acumen, communication skills, and credibility
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly/monthly goals and targets
Attentive to forecasting, sales performance metrics, and business reporting responsibilities
