This is a compact UHF collinear vertical antenna designed for 465 MHz operation. It is engineered to improve
horizon-focused signal performance compared to conventional quarter-wave vertical antennas, providing
stronger and more stable coverage for base and fixed installations. The antenna is fully weather-sealed in a
rigid UV-stable radome for long-term outdoor deployment. No weep hole is necessary with this design. It is
designed for omnidirectional coverage with a low-angle radiation profile optimized for ground-level and
repeater communications. The antenna is designed for outdoor base or elevated installation. It may be used
indoors; however, performance will be strongly influenced by the surrounding environment. Building materials
and nearby structures can alter the radiation pattern, reduce effective range, and introduce multipath effects.
As with all UHF antennas, best results are achieved in clear outdoor or elevated placements with minimal
obstructions.
Its electrical design emphasizes phase stability and consistent radiation characteristics across the operating
band, resulting in relative reliable performance in both urban and open environments.
Note: A vertical antenna designed for a compromise radiation pattern, maintaining usable mid-angle radiation
for near-field (localized) communication while increasing low-angle gain for extended range. Unlike higher-gain
antennas, this model does not significantly reduce nearby or mid-range reception. However, peak gain is lower
in order to maintain this balance. If extended range is your primary requirement, or a different frequency -

**Mounting hardware, choke, feed line etc are not included. If you lack a ferrite choke, a common mode choke can effectively be fashioned from coax, which is named a Horus Knot. The BNC Female connector on the antenna is not the standard PL259 connector) found on outdoor rated antenna, therefore an adapter may be necessary depending on your feed line. An inverted cup (sleeve) or
heat shrink should be used over the connection if the antenna is installed outdoors, to avoid rainwater from creeping into the feed line. (Consider epoxy lined heat shrink or outdoor rated silicone)
