The University of Alaska Anchorage, Aviation Technology Division is recruiting for a qualified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic with Inspection Authority for it's Flight School, Aircraft Maintenance department. The responsibilities associated with this full-time, 12-month/year, benefited position include but are not limited to the following categories:
Aircraft Hangar Organization
Ground Support / Ground Support Equipment
Ability to coordinate and perform aircraft maintenance to ensure most efficient use of resources and minimize aircraft down time.
Must be able to ground taxi aircraft
Significant and progressive experience working in an aviation maintenance career field.
Skilled in maintenance practices and inspection procedures, and broad knowledge of FARs, specifically FAR 39, 43, FAR 91, FAR 141, and other applicable requirements for a flight training school.
TYPICAL EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
High school graduate.
Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
Valid FAA Inspection Authorization
Valid driver's license
