Turnagain Ceramics is growing, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, community-minded Ceramics Instructor to join our teaching team! If you love sharing your passion for clay, thrive in a collaborative studio environment, and enjoy guiding students of all skill levels, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
Teach two 6-week courses on weekday evenings.
Lead 1–2 single-session, beginner friendly, weekend classes per week.
Create welcoming, inclusive, and engaging class environments where students feel supported and inspired.
Demonstrate foundational through intermediate techniques with clarity, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Provide individualized feedback to help students grow their skills and confidence.
Collaborate with our studio team on curriculum, class flow, and student experience.
Support safe studio practices and lead by example in maintaining shared spaces.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong ceramics skills (wheel, handbuilding, or both).
Previous teaching experience preferred, but we’re open to newer instructors with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching.
A warm, patient, and encouraging teaching style.
Reliability—our students look forward to seeing you each week!
Ability to adapt instruction to varied experience levels.
Interest in contributing to a vibrant and community-focused studio culture.
